In Jou Heelal Begewe Ek my

There is a little box in this world: a box so small that not even a ‘spelleprikgaatjie’ can ever fit inside but this box is also stretchy. So stretchy that it can contain the grandest and loftiest of daydreams and ideas. The limits of this imaginary box is completely up to the size of its contents- funnily enough… sometimes the people with the largest Nothing Boxes often are the most interesting! People who can discuss things, topics, places and people far beyond their physical realities.

Anyway. When asked ‘what is your favourite past time?’ People seem to have these incredible things they do (as a TYDVERDRYF!)… Things like mountainbiking.
Or baking. Doing exercise and raising kids- all noble pursuits with very good and measurable outcomes… Niemand sê ooit ‘leeglê’ nie.

But you know, all that being said…een van my gunsteling- gunsteling dinge om te doen, is om op ‘n lekker sagte sit-ding neer te sak aan die einde van ‘n lang-lang dag en in stilte heeltemal verlore te raak tussen plekke, gesprekke, toere, gedagtes en idees wat nog moet gebeur. Sonder om ‘n vinger te roer. Maar
hoe dit ook al sy, ek hoop jy kan nou en dan ‘n oomblik afknyp om net terug te sit, na ‘n harde dag en net UITEINDELIK in die stilte verlore raak tussen al jou drome en idees. Probeer dit. Jy sal verbaas wees oor wát alles daarbinne aangaan!
